BIKE FIT

OUR APPROACH

We    understand    the    complexities    faced    when    fitting    an asymmetrical   human   body   to   a   piece   of   equipment   that   is unforgiving   and   linear.   Our   bike   fitting   process   is   completely rider   focused,   enabling   us   to   fully   understand   the   individual skeletal     makeup,     functional     limitations     and     resultant movement    patterns.    This    eliminates    the    guesswork    and assumptive   nature   of   fitting,   ultimately   guiding   our   decision making    process    around    how    we    optimise    your    position. Some   of   the   key   areas   we   focus   on   are   finding   stability   and balanced   weight   distribution   at   each   of   the   contact   points (saddle,   pedals   and   bars)   in   combination   with   assessing   the ‘quality’ of pedalling motion. Our     sole     objective     is     to     maximise     your     comfort     and efficiency,   whilst   minimising   the   risk   of   injury.   We   are   proud to be independent, offering brand neutral, honest advice.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Nicky   brings   a   diverse   skill   set   to   bike   fitting,   with   her   vast   experience   as   a   Biomechanics   Coach,   Musculoskeletal   Therapist   and years   spent   racing   at   an   elite   level.   Over   the   last   10   years,   she   has   provided   in   excess   of   1000   bike   fits   to   every   level   of   rider, from    the    leisure    cyclist    seeking    comfort    all    the    way    through    to    elite    level    international    racers    looking    for    performance improvement. Nicky   originally   qualified   as   a   Level   2   Body   Geometry   fitter   and   was   invited   to   Specialized   HQ   in   Morgan   Hill,   California   to become   one   of   11   UK   certified   fitters.   She   later   became   qualified   to   utilise   the   Retül   motion   capture   system.   Over   the   years, Nicky   has   taken   the   best   elements   from   each   system,   and   developed   a   unique   system   of   analysis   that   takes   bike   fitting   beyond angle based algorithms.

BIKE FIT TESTIMONIALS

“I   have   had   several   bike   fits   with   Nicky   over   the   years following    new    bike    purchases    or    re-evaluation    of    my body   and   position   as   a   result   of   two   serious   accidents. Her    expertise    and    attention    to    detail    never    fails    to impress    me,    highlighting    areas    of    my    body    or    bike    I would   have   never   considered.   I   always   find   the   process both   enjoyable   and   informative,   learning   something   new each    time,    owing    to    Nicky’s    wealth    of    knowledge    and experience.     I     feel     extremely     lucky     to     have     found someone    who    is    clearly    passionate    about    her    work, which enables me to keep cycling in comfort.” - Mr M
